On 31st May our parish choir held their first fundraising concert. The event was a resounding success with very good attendance and some very generous donations. Just over £3000 was raised towards the Nisibis Fund.

On the evening of Sunday 7th September 2025 the launch event of our church fundraising appeal, Project Nisibis, took place in Clare Hall Cambridge. The evening was billed as a 'late summer soirée' and we were surely blessed with a glorious evening which felt like the last day of summer. The event was sold out, with over 100 guests coming from many different parishes and denominations. A message of encouragement from Bishop Matthew of Sourozh was read out by Father Evgeny. The choir of St Ephraim's performed a sublime repertoire of liturgical classics, and later Dr Nikolai Kazantsev enthralled with his faultless rendition of some of Bach's cello suites. Guests enjoyed home-made Greek pies and canapes prepared by members of the parish. It was a rare chance for the whole parish to meet with the local community in a relaxed and informal setting. May the warmth and goodwill of that evening encourage us in our efforts to acquire a permanent home. A huge thank you to all who came and those who helped make it such a special evening.
